According to a study published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, gut flora might be healthy for some people, but for others, it is increasing the risk of obesity. The human gut Microbiota (100 trillion cells) mostly Gram-positive and anaerobic are distinctive to each person, highly variable and remarkably stable after the first year of life. Despite this distinctiveness and diversity, there is are very less number of microbial phyla. Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes account for more than 90%. Greater Firmicutes and fewer Bacteroidetes alter the bacterial genes and affect the metabolic pathways.
